Our Story

A Place Where Time Stands Still, and Beauty Endures

Set along one of Plaka’s charming historic streets, just 200 meters from the Acropolis Museum, The Acropolis Window isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to connect. Quietly tucked within the vibrant heart of Athens, where ancient Greeks once walked, it offers a privileged setting to experience the city’s timeless soul. This neoclassical building in Plaka, now thoughtfully restored, dates back to around 1870. Once the residence of an Athenian family, it has been reborn with care and respect for its history, transformed into a collection of boutique residences that honor Athens’ layered past while embracing the elegance and comforts of modern design.

A Small Sign. A Big Story.

At the entrance, a delicate plaque with a bird and the inscription:
“The Acropolis Window – Est. 1870”
It’s a quiet tribute to the home’s history. Built in 1870, the house has witnessed decades of change—from postwar Athens to today’s vibrant cityscape. Its soul remains: the marble staircase, the balconies, and the windows framing the Acropolis.
